Back in 2020, we at Helvetiarockt launched musicdirectory.ch – a platform that gives women, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender people in the Swiss music scene the visibility they deserve.

Since then, over 1,400 artists, managers, technicians and other creatives have signed up.

Now it’s time to celebrate – with a huge party on October 4th at Fri-Son in Fribourg!

And the line-up? Pure fire: La Nefera, Fjälla, Manic Pixxies, Eggs & Tiaras, Chacho, Subaqua and Wildreis will shake the dancefloor.

Get ready for handmade, one-of-a-kind merch available at the party – with every purchase, you’re directly supporting our work as a non-profit.

The networking will happen at the FINTA Nexus – but this part is pure celebration, we’re here to dance. Everyone’s welcome – whether you’re already registered or not. No matter who you are – come celebrate with us!

A relaxed meeting space for experienced musicians, producers, artists, bookers, DJ‘s and anyone working in music.
We’ll provide a room and are present incase people have questions, but it’s very much about musicians and people working in and with music having a space to meet and exchange in a relaxed setting.

We’ll have some refreshments there.

Helvetiarockt vision: Gender equity in Swiss popular music

Helvetiarockt, Migros-Kulturprozent m2act und die Kaserne Basel laden gemeinsam zum nationalen Netzwerktreffen m2act × Helvetiarockt: Awareness, Agency & Accountability in Music and Performing Arts ein. Im Fokus steht das Thema sexualisierte Gewalt in der Schweizer Kulturszene.

Kulturinstitutionen und Veranstaltungen sind zentrale Orte künstlerischer Produktion, des Erlebens und der Begegnung. Gleichzeitig sind sie aber auch Räume, in denen Menschen genderbasierte Diskriminierung und sexualisierte Gewalt erfahren. Spezifische Arbeitsbedingungen in den Darstellenden Künsten und der aktuellen Musik – etwa körperliche Nähe, emotionale Intensität, prekäre Beschäftigungsverhältnisse, Abhängigkeiten und informelle Machtstrukturen – bergen zusätzliche Risiken. Das Netzwerktreffen widmet sich dieser Realität und stellt unter anderem folgende Fragen:

• Welche Awareness-/Strategien können helfen, diskriminierendes und übergriffiges Verhalten zu erkennen, zu benennen und zu verhindern, und wie können sie in Institutionen und Gruppen umgesetzt werden?
• Wie lässt sich individuelle Selbstbestimmung und Handlungsfähigkeit (Agency) stärken? Wie wird Konsens in den Arbeitsalltag integriert? Und wie wird man ein*e Ally (Verbündete*r)?
• Was bedeutet es, als Einzelperson oder Organisation Verantwortung (Accountability) für strukturelle und sexualisierte Gewalt zu übernehmen und welche Interventionsmöglichkeiten gibt es?

Das eineinhalbtägige Netzwerktreffen bringt Akteur*innen aus den Darstellenden Künsten und der aktuellen Musik zusammen. Es schafft Raum für Austausch, Solidarität und Verbundenheit. Präventions-, Interventions- und Handlungsmöglichkeiten werden vermittelt, Unterstützungsangebote vorgestellt und Good Practices geteilt. Mit Workshops, einer Keynote, Diskussionen, dem Empowerment Space, einem Marktplatz und Theateraufführungen wird Wissen über sexualisierte Gewalt für alle zugänglich gemacht.
