Andrea Stolpe is a multi-platinum songwriter, educator, and author with more than twenty years of experience working at the intersection of creative craft and artist development. She has written songs recorded by artists including Faith Hill, Julianne Hough, and Jimmy Wayne, and previously held staff-writer positions at Universal Music Publishing, EMI, and Almo-Irving.
Alongside her writing career, Andrea has built an extensive teaching practice focused on helping songwriters develop clarity, intention, and sustainable creative habits. She has taught songwriting for Berklee College of Music and the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music, and is the author of Popular Lyric Writing: 10 Steps to Effective Storytelling, a textbook used in university songwriting programs internationally.
Andrea’s educational work includes online courses, workshops, and retreats that have served thousands of songwriters worldwide. Her approach emphasizes craft, process, and community over formulas or trends, supporting writers at many stages of their development.
Now based in Switzerland, Andrea continues to work with songwriters internationally and is especially interested in connecting with Swiss and European artists. She is eager to build cross-cultural creative networks, support local songwriting communities, and contribute her experience as both a working writer and educator in her new home.
