melanie meystre (1996*) is a multidisciplinary artist born in vevey (CH), living and working in fribourg (CH). after studying visual arts at edhea in Sierre (bachelor of fine arts), she continued her studies at hkb (master in contemporary art practice), where she focused her artistic practice on performance.
after an internship in fri-son, she took up the post of Production Manager in 2023, a position she continues to enjoy working in with the venue she loves so much.
having had a particular attraction to music since childhood, in 2022 melanie choses to integrate a self- taught sound practice into her performative practice and transitioned from the virtual space of soundcloud, where she shared her explorations, to giving her first concert, under the name kris mess.
kris mess is an organized chaos, an eclectic mix of electronic, club, and pop influences, a desire to blur genres, a way to disturb the listener's experience.
