Johanna Müller lives and works in Winterthur. She studied at the Zurich University of the Arts and at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig. Since 2014 Müller has been working as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator, producing cover artwork, graphic and web design for various Swiss musicians (Eclecta, Kate Birch, Mama Jefferson, Jugoheidi, … ) as well as free works in the fields of collage, video and performance with several art exhibitions. Müller's most important stylistic device is the collage. In recent years she has increasingly worked with moving images and audio material in which the collecting and multi-layered assembling of individual elements play an important role as well. Characteristic is her expressive and associative mise en scène. 2019 she won the studio scholarship of the city of Winterthur for a six-month stay in Buenos Aires.
