My name is Inga Feter, I am originally from Warsaw, Poland. I am a pianist and piano teacher.
I started playing the piano at the age of 7 with my mother as teacher. I became a young student at the age of 11 and studied in Poland, Germany, England and Sweden, making my Bachelor and Master in Music Pedagogics and in Piano Performance. I gave my first solo recital at the age of 16 and have been playing throughout Europe as performing soloist and chamber musician, i.a. at UN in Vienna, at the Gustav Mahler Festival in Jihlava, at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg and with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra at the Stockholm Concert Hall. I also recorded pieces by Chopin and Szymanowski for the Swedish Radio in Stockholm.
During my Piano Pedagogy studies, I was given the opportunity to do an internship at the “Schirn” Music School in Frankfurt, where I taught piano Level I-IV under the guidance of renowned pedagogue Prof. Sibylle Cada. I have been teaching children and adults of all ages and levels ever since, building and running my own piano studio for more than 15 years in Germany, Sweden and Luxembourg and since 2016 in Geneva, Switzerland. In 2017, I became a piano faculty member at the Music School of the International School of Geneva.
I met Natalie Anston, a lyrical Soprano from Miami, in 2017 and we played a few concerts together. We felt a close bond right away and we created the duo "PianoConVoce" in 2018. What started as a purely Classical Duo quickly developed into a Classical Crossover Duo as we both love so many different styles and genres and we did not want to be defined by only one sort of music. We have recorded i.e. New (Classical) Music but also a Christmas album (2021) with traditional, Classical and Jazz songs and we will release a new album this summer "Dream with PianoConVoce" with different musical styles and also our own arrangements of songs.
We give regularly concerts and play for private and corporate events and also for retirement homes. We try to connect to the audience bring Classical music closer to the average "non classically trained" ear by mixing the programs up with different styles. We particularly love playing house concerts, where we can capture the people's attention in an intimate setting.
Our repertoire includes Classical Music (Art Songs and Opera), Musical Theatre, French Chanson and Jazz.
Our next public performance will be May 5th 2023 at the Bal Viennois de Genève.
