Ella Malherbe is a Swiss and Irish songstress. 
She is the co-founder of the duo Marzella, with which she has toured Europe, played Montreux Jazz Festival, the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire (London), hit number of the iTunes Swiss Singer Songwriter Album Charts with the EP « Seasons of Life » (2019), and was placed in the Viral 50 France playlist with the song Lovely Bird.



Starting classical guitar at the age of 6, she pursued guitar at the EJMA in Lausanne and headed to London after high school to study music at the British and Irish institute of Modern Music. She acquired a 1st class Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Creative Musicianship and Music for Moving Image from the British & Irish Institute of Modern Music (BIMM) in London.
She toured the UK in 2014 with Saint Saviour (Groove Armada) and Bill Ryder-Jones (The Coral, The Arctic Monkeys), as well as performing at the Roundhouse Studio (London) and on BBC Liverpool. She lately wrote, performed and released an electronic album called « In Between » (2019) with the band The Shamanics.


At the moment, she is writing the soundtrack of a British/Polish short movie due to be released in 2021, as well as working on new music with her duo Marzella.
