she/her
The half-British – raised in the Valais mountains – is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, lyricist, composer and producer.
In 2019, Tanja successfully completed her Master's degree in music education with a major in singing at the Zurich University of the Arts and has been working as a full-time musician ever since.
Her experience as a professional musician includes several live concerts as a front woman and background singer, co-songwriting sessions, radio and TV appearances, as well as studio jobs. In addition to her main project "BARANY" (Dark Pop), she is creatively involved in other pop/rock projects as a musician and songwriter.
In 2020, she was awarded the Culture Promotion Prize of the Canton of Valais for her artistic activities.
All in all she plays around 150 gigs a year – including hired concerts for weddings, gala events, graduation parties, company events, etc. with her and her partner's company "flexiMUSIC".
Justice and equality are important themes in her life. She is actively involved in animal rights and feminism.
