I am Nor Belma Boran, a Basel-based DJ and music producer, performing under the artistic name NorBelma. As a trans woman artist, I am passionate about creating safer and more inclusive spaces in the electronic music scene.
My sound is rooted in Afro House, Organic House, and Deep Techno, blending hypnotic grooves with oriental and Middle Eastern instruments such as oud, ney, darbuka, and kanun. Through my music, I explore mystical and cosmic themes, creating a bridge between ancient traditions and modern electronic soundscapes.
I have released multiple tracks and DJ sets on platforms such as DistroKid, Spotify, and YouTube, steadily building an international audience. In addition to DJing, I produce original sounds and perform live sets that combine spiritual energy, cinematic tension, and hypnotic rhythms.
My vision is to create immersive experiences that connect people, inspire them, and bring a sense of unity through music. Currently, I am expanding my artistic journey with video storytelling, AI-generated visuals, and cross-cultural collaborations.
As a trans woman in music, I aim to empower women, non-binary, and LGBTQIA+ voices within electronic music and represent Switzerland’s diverse and evolving music scene.
