Kate Northrop is an American songwriter who is based in Europe and works primarily as a lyricist with many talented artists, composers and producers. Her credits include songs with major labels and publishers (including Universal Germany, BMG UK, EMI South Africa), lyrics for a song in the soundtrack of an award-winning German short film, and many more. In February 2018 she had a co-write in the Swiss top 6 for the Eurovision Song Contest, and in September 2018 one of her songs reached no. 5 in the official German album charts. She writes lyrics mainly in the pop and rock genres.
