With the musicdirectory.ch, we oppose the argument «There are no women!» and say: «There are – and there are many more genders rocking the industry». We do not accept structural gender inequalities. We shape the Swiss music industry. We are here. We are visible.
We are visible
Women, inter, non-binary, trans and agender people in the music industry are visible and searchable. Here you will find bands, instrumentalists, DJs, sound engineers for concerts or producers, bookers, photographers for collaborations.
We lead by example
Women, inter, non-binary, trans and agender people in the music industry serve as role models for others and encourage them to gain a foothold in the music industry themselves.
We are a community
Women, inter, non-binary, trans and agender people in the music industry network, exchange information and work together.
Helvetiarockt
Helvetiarockt is the Swiss coordination office and networking platform for women, inter, non-binary, trans and agender people in jazz, pop and rock. Since 2009, the association has been campaigning for a significant increase in the proportion of women representation in the Swiss music industry. With our courses we offer a platform for young women to discover music and we also promote and network professional female artists. Our goal is to sensitize and raise awareness in the music industry. We demand appropriate visibility and recognition for women, gender-balanced line-ups, teams and committees. Every day we aim to inspire people to fight inequality and find solutions together.
